Sony KLV-40ZX1M 40-Inch 1080p LED Monitor is the new Sony achieves and it measures just 9.9mm deep–about the depth of a Blu-ray disc jewel case–and weighs just 26 pounds. The key to producing a superior picture in such a thin panel is Sony’s EDGE LED technology. A ring of bright white LEDs provides backlighting for the LCD panel to deliver exceptional color reproduction and detailed contrast. Sony’s Motionflow 120 Hz technology provides clarity and resolution when viewing film or video content with motion, and fully digital BRAVIA Engine 2 video processing significantly reduces noise and produces sharp, vibrant, life-like images.
The monitor will have just one HDMI port, so an A/V receiver will be required to provide ports for connecting multiple content sources. However, compatibility with Sony’s BRAVIA Wireless Link (sold separately) allows users to stream content wirelessly to the monitor from high-definition sources such as a set-top cable, satellite tuner, or Blu-ray Disc player.
Sony is producing a matching flat speaker bar with four full-range speakers and two tweeters and a wall-hugging bracket.
